The Grand Tour producer’s decision to document life on his farm has resulted in a television hit, a tourist destination and a thriving retail brand. While Jeremy Clarkson’s Farm has presented the farm itself as financially precarious, the show has turned Clarkson into an unlikely hero with a new, younger generation. Season 5 is available on Prime Video and the farm itself has transformed into an ongoing business story, rather than a pandemic project.
So, in short, Clarkson’s fortune is built on talent, luck, outrage and renewal: motoring writer, global presenter, unjustly treated employee, Amazon asset and a modern-day Arthur Pendelton (a farming legend).
